چکیده

d a v p s a o Background. The importance of moderate ischemic itral regurgitation in patients presenting for coronary rtery bypass grafting (CABG) is controversial. Thereore, we tracked the course of unrepaired moderate schemic mitral regurgitation after CABG surgery alone, dentified factors associated with worsening postoperaive ischemic mitral regurgitation, and assessed the imact of unrepaired moderate ischemic mitral regurgitaion on survival. Methods. From 1980 to 2000, 467 patients with moderate schemic mitral regurgitation underwent CABG alone. he course of unrepaired mitral regurgitation was estiated by a longitudinal analysis of 267 follow-up echoardiograms from 156 patients. The survival impact of oderate ischemic mitral regurgitation was determined mong propensity-matched patients with and without schemic mitral regurgitation. Results. Mitral regurgitation was dynamic early postperatively. Immediately postoperatively, it was absent

اثر PercutaneousCoronary Intervention Elective بر بهبودی نارسایی ایسکمیک میترال

Introdution: Ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) remains one of the most complex and unresolved aspects of ischemic heart disease that the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on improvement of intensity of ischemic mitral regurgitation is not well clarified. Patients with coronary artery diseases and ischemic mitral regurgitation have a worse prognosis than the patients with coro...

Possible Effect of CABG on Moderate Mitral Regurgitation

Introduction: Mitral valve insufficiency in adults is often a complication of ischemic heart disease. Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is performed as a strategy for the treatment of coronary artery disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate mitral regurgitation (MR) before and after CABG. Materials and Methods: This Experimental study was condu...

CTS Trials Network: A paradigm shift in the surgical treatment of moderate ischemic mitral regurgitation?

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Trials Network has reported results of the one-year follow up of their randomized trial "Surgical Treatment of Moderate Ischemic Mitral Regurgitation". They studied 301 patients with moderate ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with or without mitral repair with the primary end-point of change in left ventricular end-d...

Does coronary artery bypass grafting alone correct moderate ischemic mitral regurgitation?

BACKGROUND The optimal management of moderate (3+ on a scale of 0 to 4+) ischemic mitral regurgitation (MR) remains controversial. Some advocate CABG alone, whereas others favor concomitant mitral annuloplasty. To clarify the optimal management of these patients, we evaluated the early impact of isolated CABG on moderate ischemic MR. METHODS AND RESULTS Between January 1992 and August 1999, 1...

[Moderate ischemic mitral regurgitation: to operate or to ignore?].

INTRODUCTION Moderate ischemic mitral regurgitation (MR) is characterized by significant, symptomatic multivessel coronary disease and mitral regurgitation 2-3+. CASE OUTLINE A 60-year-old patient was admitted at the Cardiovascular Institute "Dedinje" due to the symptoms of unstable angina pectoris. He survived a myocardial infarction (inferoposterolateral localization) 8 years ago. On admiss...
